Mold filling simulations which identify the best parameters of the mold and any final defects that may arise from the manufacturing process. In this way, costs can be considerably reduced as well as time spent on fine tuning.
REOLOGICAL STUDIES
Reological studies allow us to control the design of pieces and molds in their early stages with a view to foreseeing and eliminating those problems that arise later on in the manufacturing process. This allows us to correct them at a stage when investment and the timeframes necessary are minimal. If the design of a piece is perfected in advanced stages of the cycle, aesthetic defects caused by sunken surfaces, welding lines and air bubbles are not usually detected until later on in the manufacturing process. In such cases, the mold must be subjected to error correction testing before production is validated. Likewise, the injection cycle and the dimensions of the machine are difficult to calibrate during the design phase, and adjustment afterwards causes delays and additional expense. The further on the development of the mold is, the more considerably the cost of modification increases. This is also true of the production process and the negative impact can also be reflected in delays in planning commitments with the customer and in reduced potential profits.
