OBSIDIUM: Methodology to improve multisectoral manufacturing processes through innovation

SIMULATIONS



Continuous extrusion by means of HYPERXTRUDE software: Flow simulation through the head piece, bearing in mind the interaction of the material with the machine so as to be able to define the optimum transition profile.

Mold filling by means of MOLD FLOW software: localisation of injection points, optimum thickness, optimisation of welding lines, deformations and warping which occur post-mold, localisation of cool areas and hot spots, in order to reduce the cycle time.

This is a simulation of deformation of the piece during the stamping process, by means of HYPERFORM software. This assesses the viability of the process and the product according to the definition. This is with a view to eliminating potential risks.

Simulation of mechanical behaviour of the finished product, by means of OPTISTRUCT software, RADIOSS: static analysis, dynamics and the impact of the piece faced with real stresses to test the stability of the product.
