Andaltec participates in the Dcool project, led by the University of Córdoba. The project is focused on the development of a new, ultra-compact and low-cost indirect evaporative cooling system. Andaltec has developed innovative solutions for the recycling of polymeric materials in the production of indirect evaporative cooling systems (IEC). Our expertise extends to the optimisation of heat and mass transfer processes within the wet channels of these systems.
We have also manufactured prototypes using additive manufacturing techniques (3D printing) from recycled polymeric materials. Furthermore, we have conducted life cycle assessments of the IEC system and benchmarked it against conventional equipment.
The project additionally determines the prospective market for indirect evaporative cooling technology to meet a portion of the energy demand for air conditioning in a range of economic sectors.
