Solar Hub development for Solarays

Andaltec has collaborated with the company Solarays Energy in the development of an innovative solar energy capture device capable of generating electrical and thermal energy at the same time. It is a passive solar tracking system that uses a highly efficient concentrator to track the position of the sun with high precision, without motors and without consuming electricity.

Solarays Energy and Andaltec have developed a very light system that, thanks to the use of plastic materials, weighs 50% less than current electricity and heat generation systems. In terms of photovoltaic concentration, the system achieves electrical efficiencies of over 33%, twice that of conventional silicon panels. The overall system has a combined efficiency (electrical and thermal) of 72%.

Andaltec and Solarays have worked closely together in the development of this project, working on the product design, material selection, simulations, prototyping, testing and finding suppliers for the industrial manufacture of the plastic components. Andaltec supported the customer throughout the entire process, from the initial idea to market launch.
