Andaltec has been involved in the development of an innovative syringe holder device designed for use by healthcare workers in medical emergencies and disaster situations. It is a tool designed by nurse Ana Cintora. It is a container that allows syringes already filled with medication to be kept aligned and tidy for immediate or gradual administration throughout the patient’s care.
The Syringe Holder is a unique device on the market with many advantages: it is easy to clean, can be sterilised in a microwave oven, and provides access to medication without the need to carry it, leaving hands free for other tasks. It is also ergonomic and helps to increase the efficiency of medication administration. Andaltec was involved in the entire process of development, material selection, prototype production and experimental testing of the prototype syringe holder.
During the design process, Andaltec’s engineers suggested several improvements. Advice was also given on the choice of the most suitable material, the cost of the mould and the production of serial parts. The aim is to bring a low-cost, high-quality device to the market.
